THE POWER OF ENERGIZED PBM RED LIGHT THERAPY
MODE OF ACTION:
Just like food, ‘light’ provides nutrients to the body. Near Infrared, non-invasive and non-heating of tissue ‘light’ called PhotoBioModulation (aka Red Light Therapy) reaches deep into the brain of our cells called the mitochondria to produce a biochemical reaction which helps use oxygen more efficiently.
This biochemical reaction causes:
1) Production of ATP which is the vehicle that transports energy throughout the body –– providing the energy our cells need to fight inflammation and pain.
2) Release of Nitric Oxide which causes the inner muscles of our blood vessels to relax, promoting increased circulation.
3) Secretion of Collagen (type 1 and 3) to strengthen the skin, repair tissue and enhance wound healing.
The LightRoom ™ uses the highly regarded LightCare RX PhotoBioModulation System exclusively. Our own research has been extensive as we searched world-wide for the best in class.
The LightCare RX System has proven to be a clear global leader –– offering the best and most complete PBM Red Light Therapy available anywhere in the world.
Combining a patented Plasma-Arch Quartz Light Source (generating 10 distinct wavelengths) with a proprietary filter system, the scientifically demonstrated optimum level of intensity (Joules), wide area body coverage (the world's largest) and the most power (500 WATTS), LightCare RX systems deliver a superior PBM Red Light treatment – the most effective and complete PBM Red Light treatment available in the world. We call this combination 'The Big Four'.

Is PBM Red Light Therapy Government Licensed?
Why Is Red Light Therapy Called Different Names?
Short Answer: TECHNOLOGICAL EVOLUTION
LASER ––► LED ––► Hyper Plasma-Arc/Quartz
Because early uses of PhotoBioModulation (PBM) exclusively employed lasers, It is sometimes incorrectly assumed that PhotoBioModulation means 'Laser Therapy'. It does not.
As PBM technology evolved, other light sources such as LED's have been used, and new, more efficient ways of employing PMB have broadened the range of treatment application. It's all PhotoBioModulation, but using different light sources and filtration technology.
What's In A Name?
Today, you'll find PhotoBioModulation referred to as Low Level Light Therapy • LED therapy • Laser Therapy • Red Light Therapy • LLLT (short for low level laser therapy).
In recent years there has been an effort to clarify naming conventions because they all are forms of PhotoBioModulation –– using “light” as the energy source. We use the designation PBM Red Light Therapy.
At The LightRoom we use LightCare RX systems exclusively. These systems employ a proprietary Hyper Plasma-Arc/Quartz light source and a patented filter system.
What Research Supports PBM Red Light Therapy?
Short Answer: EXTENSIVELY RESEARCHED SINCE 1965
Near Infrared Light Photobiomodulation Therapy has been under the microscope of multiple medical disciplines since its discovery in 1965. Science continues to seek non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical alternatives for treatment of a wide range of common conditions.
In 1998, Robert F. Furchgott, Louis J. Ignarro and Frid Murad won a Nobel Prize for their discoveries concerning Nitric Oxide as a signalling molecule in the Cardiovascular system. More specifically, their research established its function as a ‘relaxing’ agent –– that when released from our cells assists in better blood flow –– which means better circulation and lower blood pressure.
Their discovery was huge ––since a major benefit of PhotoBioModulation, is that it stimulates release of Nitric Oxide into our bodies.
Since that time, over 3,600 papers have been published by universities and medical organizations supporting the efficacy and low risk factors associated with near Infra-red Photobiomodulation. About 35 new studies are published each month. A sampling of specific studies and clinical trials can be found → here.

HOW PBM RED LIGHT THERAPY WORKS
Photobiomodulation involves exposing tissue to low levels of red and near infrared light to repair the tissue, help reduce inflammation, edema and pain.
It's called low level therapy because it uses light at low energy densities.
Extensive research over many years demonstrates that Photobiomodulation appears to have a wide range of effects at the molecule and cellular level.
Within the cells PBM acts on the energy of the cell, called the mitochondria, to increase ATP production.
ATP is then used as a shuttle, delivering energy to places within the cell, where energy consuming activities are taking place.
This helps reduce inflammation and affects nitric oxide release to relax the inner muscles of the blood vessels, thereby increasing blood flow and lowering blood pressure resulting in a healthier cell.
